On May 15, 2025, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL) was honored to present at the 39th Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference in West Palm Beach, FL. Our workshop, WS134: Rebuilding Together – Strategies for Sustainable Disaster Recovery Across Florida, focused on real-world solutions and long-term strategies to help communities recover stronger after disasters.

This year’s conference theme, “Enduring Together – Persevering with Purpose,” could not have been more timely. Following the historic 2024 Atlantic hurricane season—marked by three major Florida landfalls (Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton)—RTGFL joined hundreds of emergency management professionals to share lessons learned, foster collaboration, and strengthen our state’s resilience efforts.

Our session highlighted RTGFL’s on-the-ground experience supporting vulnerable families in both rural and urban communities, and emphasized the importance of equity, collaboration, and sustainability in disaster recovery.

We are proud to stand with our fellow emergency management partners to ensure every Floridian has a safe, healthy home—before and after disaster strikes.
